Body Art Process - Part 2
Today I created the last to body paintings. I made them on the back and the arm of my model. I used the same products as for the previous ones, so: Makeup Revolution London x PRIDE face paints and Morphe x James Charles eyeshadow palette, as well as the simple makeup brushes.
I started by sketching the design and as you can see I changed my concept for the back piece and now it is a mount Fuji, the sun and the 'trees'. I made it in more my style, rather than realistic.
Then I added a sunset as the background as I knew it was easier to do before everything else. I used Yellow, orange, and red, and later I added purple as well.

Next, I painted the mountain. I used light blue for the main part and blue mixed with black for the shadows. I like how it turned out as it was more interesting and not as flat.
I also painted the peak, using only white paint. Later I added some more shadows underneath to make it look more dimensional.

The last step was to paint the sun and the trees. I used red and green paint and then I added some more shadows on the green part. I also cleaned the smudges and I went to photograph my work.
I really like this piece as it is simple, but effective and looks good on the back. It was a lot of fun to make.
Then I also made the arm piece, however, I do not have as much footage. I started by sketching the design again. I decided to paint some koi fish in a different concept than before. Then I added light blue splashes to symbolise the water. I painted the fish white and added some red marks on their bodies.
This piece could have turned out better, however, I am still learning and I am proud of the progress I am making. Maybe the water splashes were not the greatest idea, but I wanted to create something interesting. Overall, all of the paintings were an amazing opportunity to practice my skills and learn how to work with a client.
