Sketches - Body Art
I created some sketches as the main idea of my body art part of the project. I drew some things that I will like to include in my art, however, I will improve on them soon as I am starting to make practice ones on my models and will be photographing my work this week.
My ideas:
- Deer
- Cherry Blossom
- Bamboo
- Sunset and Mount Fuji
- See-through arm/leg, but with flowers inside and some patterns
It is still difficult to make those sketches as I usually draw freehand and try to imagine my design as I go. I like this challenge and I try to get better at planning my work first, but it is difficult to change my mindset that quickly. I will still post later updates on those pieces of my work.
Chaotic, but it was made a brainstorm for my ideas.
This is a really quick sketch, I am not very proud of it, but it works as a reminder for me of what my idea was - flowers and patterns.
Think the second sketch is too busy - one thing that has stood out from your research is the fact that all of the designers you have looked at have a lot of space around their work, their approach is almost 'less is more'. Follow up with more sketch ideas - the more you do, the better this will be. Also you will have to look at colour soon and talk about how that will be significant in your project.
