SMART OBJECTIVES
To set me a goal for this term's project I will write it in Smart Objectives so that by the end of it I will be able to clearly say if I achieved it.
The Fashion Communication and Styling project I will carry out this term will use the theme of Orientalism. I want to connect futuristic style with traditional Asian fashion (mostly Japanese). I will create a series of four body art (face, neck - to hand, back and a thigh), then I will photograph it like for an editorial. The 3D project however will be a kimono mixed with a hoodie to synthesize the modern world trends with traditions. I will use fabric and a sewing machine to create it. The final result will also be photographed. I will present my work in a form of gallery-like a collage that I will, later on, be able to put in my portfolio. This project will help me to improve my photography, design, sewing, makeup and styling skills. My target for this project would be anyone that feels connected to my art in age about 20-30 yearold.
This is quite concise, but I think you could be clearer in terms of the actual outcomes. You say 'powerful women' but do you mean businesswomen, politicians, socialites etc? For each of these, you would be looking at a different set of outcomes. The presentation could be clearer too, would it be as a gallery, a flipbook with text accompanying your designs, perhaps images of your designs in the environments that your target market would work/socialise?
