UX Testing on other student's Website

 In today's session, we are looking at the websites of our colleagues testing the UX. I am giving feedback about Olga Soboloweska's website, which can be found HERE

The Homepage

 Is the homepage pleasing to look at?

Yes, it is clear, modern and has a good layout.

Does the homepage clearly show both visually and with text what the website is about (i.e represent the students progression route?)?

    

Yes

Is there a navigation menu on the homepage?

Yes

Is the navigation menu clear and easy to use?

   

Yes

Are there social media links on the homepage?

Yes

Do all the menu links and social links work correctly?

Yes

Do you have any comments or suggestions in regard to the homepage?

 I, personally did not put the 2D/3D sketchbook as my Instagram on the website, as I think that it is showing a different type of art than the website is about, but after further looking, there are some projects that are accurate to the progression route, so it is okay. 

The About & Contact Page

Is the About page pleasing to look at?

Yes

Does it contain an image or design?

Yes, two

Is the about me/biography well written?

Yes, there are only the most important information, it is clear and simple to understand

Does the about me/biography really tell you about the person and their work?

Yes

Do you have any suggestions on the about me page?

No, it looks great

Is the contact page pleasing to look at?

Yes, although I would choose more professional photo or the one that shows Olga's work more

Does it contain an image or design?

Yes

Does the contact page work - test this and find out

Yes, it works

Do you have any suggestions about the contact page?

 Other than trying to choose a different photo, no

The Gallery Pages

Do all the gallery pages work?

Yes

Is there an introduction to the work on each gallery page

Yes

Does all the work have titles

Yes, although there is some work on the homepage and they have no titles or comments about them

Are the gallery pages consistent

Yes

Do the gallery pages work well and are they easy to use?

Yes

Can you go back and forth through the gallery pages easily?

Yes, using the menu bar, maybe there could be a 'back' button 

Is the work displayed to show it at its best?

Yes

What suggestions do you have about the gallery pages?

I would change the style of buttons on the Portfolio page, to something different than circles, as it is cropping the titles and does not look as great as other pages.

Is the site consistent throughout?

Yes

Did you find it easy to navigate and use?
