Developement from research - Colour Purple
To better understand the symbolism of the colour purple I decided to research it. It will help me with my set project and it is an interesting idea to further research.
Firstly, similar to my feeling towards this colour it is connected to spirituality and your inner self. Some people also say it is feminine and peaceful. Although depending on the shade it can be associated with negative emotions.
As for history, purple was one of the hardest to make colours. Because of it, it was usually given to royals as it could symbolise their wealth and status. Kings, queens and priests were usually seen wearing purple coats in real life as well as on paintings.
In today's world, it is becoming a fashion trend to wear more purple as well as doing makeup using this tint. In 2018 Pantone chose the Ultra Violet as the 'Color of the Year', which shows the rising tendency of using it in styling.
