Welcome Back - Term 2

After almost 2 months break, I am back to share my experience at the DMUIC IYZ Art&Design course. This term I will be focusing more on research and improving my work in the best way possible. I would love to work on my drawing skills and showing my projects in a clear, professional way. During the break, I was discovering new fashion designers and stylists to broaden my horizons more and find inspiration for my future projects.

First, I found a fashion designer, Minju Kim. She is a 35-year-old artist from South Korea. Minju was a freelance designer with a passion for colourful, unique clothing. She was a contestant in the Netflix Show "Next in Fashion" and in the end won with 17 other designers and secured the prize of 250 000$ as well as being featured in a Net-a-Porter.

After seeing her work I feel inspired to try more colours and interesting patterns as well as un-conventional accessories. Here are some of her projects:

Seoul Fall 2017

Net-A-Porter collection

Next is the pair of fashion stylists, Wayman and Micah. They worked for stars like Tessa Thompson or Regina King. Their outfits are often elegant and modern as well as glamour with many gold and diamond elements. From their profile, I am inspired to match different patterns and add accessories as well as hair that will match my idea.

  1. Good that you have some commentary on your welcome - you do not know the project yet and I am hoping you will explore many ideas before choosing what you will be doing _I will explain that today
