Set Project Plan: Zodiac Signs

This is my Set project plan for this Term at Art Portfolio module.

Project Title: Zodiac Signs

Progression Route: Fashion Communication and Styling

Describe your major project objective using the SMART acronym

For this term's fashion styling set project I will create 6 styling ideas drawings using the colour purple. The concept is 'Spirituality', so I will be using themes like zodiac signs and runes. I want the outfits to be classy and trendy, with use of dresses and suits. This will be styling for woman clothes. This project will take me 6 weeks to complete. I will be using a graphic tablet and Clip Studio Paint Software. I want to develop my clothes drawing skills as well as creating a vision board for my projects. My plan is to make two pieces of work a week, to have the time for additional changes and improvement.

Why have you chosen to do this project?

I had always been interested in spirituality, astrology and everything that is hidden, unseen. I want to create a collection of clothes that will match the personalities of people with different signs. I would also like to discover more about the subject itself and it is a great opportunity to do so.

Who are you researching for this project? Please list at least three media producers, authors, musicians, photographers etc.

I will be researching Angel Chen, Kim Minju, Chloé and Dior. I will also look at the work of Donnie Davy and the stylists of the HBO show "Euphoria".

What techniques/skills are you developing/learning for this project?

I will be developing the digital art skills as well as fashion drawings as that is a part I was struggling the most last term.

What do you expect the final outcome of the project to be?

The final outcome of this project will be a set of six outfits projects that will be displayed on my website in a form of the catalogue. They will be shown with the makeup proposition for the people that would like to use this look in the future.

What have you completed so far for this project?

I have made initial research for this project and decided what software I will be using.

What do you think will be the issues/drawbacks of the project?

The hardest part will be consistency as I get easily distracted and lose focus on my work. I will work with a schedule to help me make everything on time.

What is your timescale considering that this has to be completed by Week 10?

Week Three: Project Sign off and this plan!

Week Four: Further research about zodiac signs, picking the 6 I will make outfits inspired by.

Week Five: Sketches and testing different ideas for clothing. Looking at the best colour scheme. Finding makeup inspiration

Week Six: Drawing outfits and finding the best makeup for each outfit. At least 3 outfits.

Week Seven: Drawing another 3 outfits and makeup.

Week Eight: Making final changes in the drawings. Starting creating the catalogue.

Week Nine: Finishing the project.

What resources or materials will you need for this project?

I will be using Wacom Intuos S tablet and Clip Studio Paint Software.
