Set Project: First Thoughts

 For this term, we will be creating a set project. The idea is to follow the brief and choose one of the three themes:

• Purple
• Expressionism
• Earthly themes

My first thoughts are strongly drawn to the first one, "Purple". This colour reminds me of the spiritual world. I associate it with ghosts as well as magic in general, witches of some kind. I could create a set of styling ideas based on this theme with elements connected to astrology and tarot cards. Maybe outfits for "modern witches". 

This digital painting by Lena Fay has a similar energy to the idea I have in my mind. My set project would be also made digitally. I want to use a graphic tablet to improve my drawing skills and at the same time make it look professional and clean. I can still use Minju Kim's collections as inspiration, as her clothes are flowy and I could adapt them to my theme. Other Designers, I will look at are:
